Not true. Increases in infections this winter will mean clogged up ERs again. If I have a car accident or a heart attack, an over-capacity ER is relevant to me.

COVID crowds out hospital capacity for other health emergencies. This is the deadly 2nd order effect from COVID.

The current bivalent booster is pretty effective against current strains. It doesn't perfectly prevent transmission; but it does help keep dumbasses out of the hospital and prevent rationing of care.

That's not a benefit according to vaccine science. It's a failure. And I'm not referring to transmission. I was referring only to keeping one's own symptoms, perhaps, milder.
