Of course we created our own rankings for each of my kids but USN&WR and others were good references and helpful |
The prestige colleges are next. It's inevitable. |
Like Columbia lol |
| Yale doesn't want to disclose that it produced JD Vance. |
| Schools would rather not have any transparency. |
|
The rankings have no value for the top ten or fifteen law schools anyway. Everyone knows what they are.
After the top 15, things get much trickier. How many people know off the top off their head which law school is better, Minnesota, UNC Chapel Hill, Florida, or Iowa? They're all ranked 21 to 28. |
How many people care which is better? And why should they? |
Exactly. I’m no fan of the USNW rankings, but Yale & Harvard were fine with them when they were 1 & 2. Now they’re starting to drop in the rankings, they want to take their ball and go home. It does make one wonder if the backlash against the recent shenanigans on campus is having an effect on employment prospects for graduates. |
Have Harvard and Yale dropped out of the undergraduate rankings? Columbia is praying for that after they were caught submitting fraudulent data this year. |
You’re the one who should just go home. Yale has been ranked number one forever and there’s no indication that that’s gonna change any time soon. |
Exactly |
Hey PPs read the article before posting. This is about law school rankings which is an entirely different matter and DOES need overhaul because now all law schools look almost solely at lsat and gpa because that’s what has to be reported to USNWR |
Why would it make one wonder this? They’re two completely disconnected things. |
|
Guess we'll stop interviewing at Yale -- said no law firm ever. This will have zero impact on anyone. Frankly, the whole damn USNWR law school ranking enterprise could fold up shop and we'd still be able to tell the wheat from the chaff. |
