How exactly? She is a member of the Republican Party. The Republican Party has several members who are pro-Putin. How is voting for her "standing with Ukraine?"

DP. I voted for Lipsman, but Beyer is a former business owner and is not one of the crazy progressives, so when/if he wins, I can live with his moderating influence on the Democratic side of things. But I do wish Lipsman the best, it is nearly impossible for a Republican to win in NoVa.

Her family is from Ukraine, but they identify with the Ukrainian Russians (likely why her family left) which is why she wants to stop aid to Ukraine. At the county fair I was handed (by her) a leaflet outlining all of her stances. while she seems like a nice person, I disagreed with most(if not all) of her positions. There were lots of phrases like "parents should have more say in education" which I disagree with, I do not have a degree in education. I recall she was anti immigration too which I thought was odd since that is how here family got here. From my experience she is Very far right. I am not, but I do consider all candidates. She would have no say in missing middle.

Lots of republican candidates who are immigrants or the children of immigrants are anti-immigration.

Make sure you qualify “immigration”

I am also a Legal Immigrant from Europe. We got visas to come to the US and waited out turn to earn citizenship. We had relatives who had to immigrate to Israel since they could not get permission or a visa to come to the US. They followed the rules and settled there, although they would have preferred to come here.

We followed the rules, waited out turn, am now a Citizen.

I have no sympathy for Illegal Immigrants coming over the southern border and rushing millions of people into this country.

She said in an interview that she feels Biden should have taken action to prevent Putin from invading Ukraine in the first place (although she doesn’t know what), but now that Putin has invaded, the US should not continue funding the Ukrainian defense effort.

Beyer has been around for a long time. Once someone like him gets dug in they become stagnate. He is just your run of the mill old white guy. But I guess it makes sense bc most of the people who turn out to vote are old white people.

I don't know a single thing that Beyer is doing now or will do different or even try to do. He is just complacent, like the show of politics and has money
