. Wake’s football team is currently ranked No. 10 in country Basketball team finished 5th in ACC last year. |
| Neither is worth paying private tuition price tags. |
the basketball team never recovered after the coach died of a heart attack years ago pretty sure Chris Paul was their last star player |
You clearly don't understand ACC basketball. Wake is a fun and hot school right now. Weather is also considerably better in NC. |
Um, I’m an alum. I didn’t say I’d pick Villanova just because Wake’s basketball team has been not so great for quite a while. It was just different in the Tim Duncan era (while I was a student) and then into the Chris Paul era. |
| Those mid sized schools you’ve described are the sweet spot for many! Makes them very desirable for good reason. Acceptance rates plummeting with overwhelming number of applicants |
| Wake forest is just a way better school across the board. |
Lolz wake has the 10th ranked football team in thr country, no bad for an undergrad student body of under 5500 |
Wake had a smaller student population in the 90s, but this was what I liked about it. Not too big, but also big enough that you didn’t know everyone. The current price is outrageous, but I had a great experience there as a student. I have a couple friends who had or have legacy kids there. One is in her senior year and already has a post grad job lined up from her summer internship with one of the big consulting companies. She’ll be moving across the country in May. |
It’s such a shame they finally have a decent football team when I can no longer stand to watch the sport after all the CTE info came out All those games I had to sit through when the team was terrible… |
| Either great! See where you get in first. Tough admits currently |
| A bit bigger but similarly ranked and admit rate, better overall sports, weather, non preppy, and school spirit for days and generations: check out U Miami. |
and can't sell out their little stadium. |
| Wake is intensely greek. |
yes, this is true |
