How much would you pay for a weight loss coach

Have you found long term success yet?

+1

I’d hire a chef or get weekly meal delivery before I hire an uncertified individual.

If you want to to do it, it isn’t hard. If you don’t want to do it a coach isn’t going to help.

Speaking as a 42 yo man who has lost 65lbs in about a year.

Great work! Are you often asked how you did it? We all know that it’s better to eat vegetables than Doritos…

Yes. I think the hang for most people is that you have to give up the things you like the most. You don’t, you just need to change how they are prepared or how much you consume.

I do yoga or stretching for 20 min everyday. A 45 work out with weights 2-3 days a week. And 20-30 minutes of cardio/intervals on days I don’t lift.

I eat a high protein yogurt & granola 4 days week. Bagel or biscuit sandwich a couple days a week, and then one day a week I have the typical American breakfast, pancakes and bacon, chicken and waffles, sausage eggs home fries etc.

Lunch is typical lean protein heavy chicken or fish. Since I eat lunch right after my workout I get a double portion of protein. Yesterday I had Thai, and had chicken ka prow, no rice double chicken. Then dinner I usually just have smaller or not as bad portion on what family is having depending on what it is.

Half the battle is just cutting out the BS stuff, which I eat just less of or smaller portions. If I have an unhealthy snack I will add in extra work out time to reduce calories in other places.

It is all just calories in and calories out. Not a magic formula.

And now I look good.

Is part of and relates to a professional crowd.

Thanks!

It would depend on their credentials and what you are getting out of it.

I paid $200/month for an online trainer/coach

She has worked with hundred of clients over the years and had a good record of success. She was a certified personal trainer and trained in counseling.
She gave me nutrition guidance and wrote monthly personalized workout/strength training plans for me.

I think another big benefit to hiring a coach that is often overlooked is the accountability aspect. People tend to stick to a plan better when they have someone to report to.

None. I can get tips on IG and the rest is willpower.

Is that you OP? If you are trying to think about how to market your skills as a weight loss coach you need to think more about your approach, the type of coaching you are offering, what is your added value. The description above doesn’t really make sense. Being successfully thinner is not a credential to help others, and I don’t see what “related to a professional crowd “ brings.

So, can you tell us more about what would make you a good coach? And if I am wrong and you are seriously asking about hiring that coach, you need to tell us more about why

No. Those pre-packaged plans don't work for me long-term. I would pay for a coach who could look at my life and help me fit in movement. I have uncommon constraints, both physical and time-limiting, so that is what I struggle with. I would pay for someone who could look at my life and say here is what you need to change or adjust, not just someone who says, here is what I did.

Not one penny

I would pay them exactly ZERO dollars.

Because I am over 50 have lost 30 lbs without drugs or surgery and I am keeping it off.

And I didn't pay myself anything.

That is great if it works for you. For some people having a coach to give guidance and accountably is very helpful.

I just saw one too - recommended how many grams of protein etc

Nothing about implementing - especially when I see junk food when I’m having a bad day etc

No…

You already know what foods to eat and how much you should eat. No one else can make you put that into practice. Get a meal service if you are buying crap bc of lack of time/energy to make better food

I pay $650/month for weekly calls with my nutritionist. I can’t begin to articulate how helpful it has been for me and could not recommend it high enough.
