Yale for the residential college system!
Tough to pick 1, but I'd probably go with somewhere in NYC
Oberlin or Earlham. Somewhere small and friendly.
Ooh, or maybe St John's in Annapolis. |
Princeton - for the attention paid to undergraduates and the thesis requirement. Maybe Williams or Dartmouth. There are a lot of prestigious universities where undergraduates are an afterthought.
+1 for Princeton. For the attention given to students inside and outside the classroom. Very rigorous classes, but in the meantime lots of well-organized social activities outside the classroom. Beautiful campus is extra. |
University of Miami
Middlebury -- I went to Barnard, but when I visited Middlebury with my oldest son, I somehow felt really comfortable and at home there. (BTW, DS chose University of Chicago, so . . . whatever.)
Art school like RISD or some other artsy school SCAD or Cal arts
USC (California)
Dartmouth. Went there for grad school and would have loved it for college (I didn't apply for undergrad).
ND undergrad, then Dartmouth for med school.
Dartmouth or Stanford. Latter because I went to school in 90s and might have made a fortune if I had been in the Silicon Valley.
Dartmouth
In a sunny and warm area, probably Cali or Hawaii.
