Just For Fun: If you could go to any college...

If you woke up tomorrow and you were a high school senior....yourself, but knowing everything you know now....
and you could magically receive acceptances at every school you applied to...
and, let's say, your parents tell you they can and will pay for it in its entirety...

Which school would you choose?

I would maybe choose Northwestern for its vibrant arts community, interesting campus, academics, and different location (I'm from the NE).

You?

Columbia. I should have bolted straight to NYC. Or maybe Barnard. I grew up in Wisconsin and I'm still planning to move to NYC once the kids are in college

College of the Atlantic

And I would attend homecoming every year.

We just visited a women’s college today. I wish I hadn’t brushed them off so easily when I was looking.

I also should have looked more seriously at the schools in DC (wasn’t raised here and wanted to work in politics)

I think I'd go to Eckerd College, Whitman or Montana State. I love the outdoors!

I would still go to the college I actually attended (Cornell) because I found my DH there and we’re very happy.

However if that was not the case, I would probably pick Stanford or UPenn - somewhere more urban. Cornell is lovely and has a beautiful campus but it is so remote that it gets fewer recruiters visiting and co op/internship opportunities, despite its good reputation.

I went to undergrad and grad school in the snowy midwest and my biggest regret is not going somewhere warmer.

Maybe Rice or Stanford. They seem like college-y places without the ice.

I would not want to wake up to begin with. Have zero desire to repeat my college years. I went to a good school and have a good career and good life now.
