Dahmer

That moment when he was thisclose to telling his dad about the first murder, and his dad interrupted him. I wonder if that conversation actually happened. So disappointing.

The fact his parents ignored the red flags made them just as responsible as Dahmer. Torturing animals is very serious.

I'm not sure the connection between torturing animals and being a sociopath was known then.

Not so strange to me that show was dark a f IMHO.

Anonymous wrote:Won't watch this one. Saw My Friend Dahmer last week and it was pretty good with the high school years leading up to his first victim, Steven Hicks. It really made me curious about his family life. He must have been horribly neglected emotionally. I don't care what happened to his parents, but his little brother must be pretty messed up.

Thank you for mentioning My Friend Dahmer. I will check that one out. I'm always interested in how people become these monsters. I probably can't handle watching Dahmer though. I remember when it was happening and when he was caught. I read a lot of detail at the time. All these years later I really can't get some of it out of my mind.

The reviews are not great.

He also did the F/X miniseries about OJ and Andrew Cunanan, Versace’s murderer. And Nip/Tuck. Glee is the exception not the rule.

I started watching it last night and found it boring, and not interesting at all. We already know his apartment reeked, the neighbors thought he was weird, he targeted gay men and slaughtered them in his apartment. Nothing new here. Stopped watching after 20 minutes.

I wasn't expecting a dragged-out version of the real events. It was moving so slowly, and just sickeningly voyeuristic.

Turn it off and go back to watching the crown. It’s rated 1 on Netflix

I watch a lot of crime TV. But I draw the limit on anything about Dahmer.

I watch all things true crime. Late at night, home alone, doesn't bother me. But this one I couldn't bring myself to even start.

I agree. It was too dark and gross for me. Dahmer was incredibly screwed up, but for some reason his story is not interesting. It was sad watching him seeming to struggle with his sexuality and then get so screwed up with his fascination with dead bodies.
