Oohh…. I cannot wait to watch this on Netflix.
I am waiting for my day off so I can binge-watch it. I am so interested in hearing his story. The guy that escaped Dahmer & testified against him was a very good-looking guy at the time. I have heard that he got into drugs/crime in his later years + now looks ages older. He may even be homeless too. 🙁 Seems Dahmer didn’t kill him physically yet may have metaphorically…… |
That's exactly what cultural studies are. |
I think that guy wanted to rob dahmer based on that testimony |
I came to work this morning and the very first two people I came in contact with were talking about Dahmer and how much they love it, shows like it. And I know of two more people on my floor that feel the same way. You really think there are that many people out there with this “sadistic kink”? That these people are “sick”? Personally, I think you are in the minority. The judgmental minority, at that. |
You got posts confused. I defended Netflix Dahmer. I’m criticizing Lifetime stalker/rape/abuse shows and SVU. |
Whoops! My bad. Carry on. |
| I haven't read the whole thread but the You're Wrong About podcast did an episode on Dahmer that was interesting. |
No it wasn’t it was boring |

This is probably an unpopular opinion since everyone seems to like Dahmer’s Father Lionel, but I personally think he is a jerk.
To support his son after seventeen brutal murders is crazy in my opinion. I understand that as a parent, unconditional love is something that is a given. But if any of my own kids did all the things Dahmer did - then I would never state publicly that I supported him after he was convicted of his crimes. Also his parents did not accept Jeffrey’s homosexuality & while that alone did not cause his monstrosity > it did likely contribute to his self~esteem issues which I assume affected his mental state at the time. |
Yes he WAS cute at the time of his ordeal, but he ruined his looks with drugs, etc. He has not aged very well. He ended up not only on drugs, but he was homeless (and still may be today = NO ONE really knows if he is dead or alive today!) He chose a life of crime and spent time locked up. While I sympathize with his plight - his entire ordeal at the hands of a serial mass murderer could mess anyone up >> I do think serving 1.5 years in prison for throwing a man off a bridge, where he drowned to death is a slap on the wrist. I only feel this way because I imagine that if someone killed my loved one by tossing them off a bridge, thus killing them I would want that person to serve much more than a year and a half in prison. Whomever died in that situation meant something to their loved ones I am sure. If it were my own son I wouldn’t just forgive his killer just because he happened to have been an almost (!) murder victim himself. |

Tracey is regarded as a hero because he was the only one who escaped being murdered.
If he had not told the police then Dahmer would have had a multitude more of murdered boys. He should have had counseling provided by the state after his struggle but instead he was let go and ironically becoming a murderer himself over a decade later. It is the state’s fault that he got into trouble with the law afterward. After escaping Dahmer he had to face him again in court and recount what happened that fateful evening. For that alone he really needed therapy. In his testimony he shows symptoms of PTSD. |
He seemed unbelievably composed up there |
Rape can be an unfinished murder. |

My daughter (age 18) is a high school senior, and she mistakenly downloaded it for a flight we were taking for college tours. I asked her what she was watching on her laptop, and she said "Dahmer." I asked if she knew who this person was?!
I'm normally a pretty chill person, but I hope that the entertainment industry has some type of conscience, and asks itself the point of making this topic into a show. |
So you’re outraged that your adult kid that is of age to kill in war is watching a show about a serial killer? There is nothing chill about you. What does your daughter downloading this have to do with anything? Either watch it or don’t. That’s the beauty of free will. Do you want full censorship? |
