This idea brings me back to the emo days of 2005. Blasting music in my bedroom from my pink Sony Jukebox, feeling like it was written just for me. A boy waved at me just hours ago in the high school parking lot from his t-top trans am. Those were the days.

It’s still a good song it just doesn’t make me cry any more.

+1 I'm a stone cold ice queen at baseline but I cried at animated movies the first couple of weeks post partum.

My first was born a couple weeks before Christmas so,

Christmas Song by Dave Matthews Band

She was his girl
He was her boyfriend
She be his wife
Take him as her husband
A surprise on the way, any day, any day
One healthy little giggling dribbling baby boy
The wise men came three made their way
To shower him with love
While he lay in the hay
Shower him with love, love, love
Love, love, love
Love, love, is all around

Not remotely a baby song, but for whatever reason I always played the song Tiny Dancer for my kid. Something about the line "Lay me down in sheets of linen, You had a busy day today".

I think my Dad played it for me when I was little.

What other songs have you listened to that speak to you on this pregnancy/post partum phase?

Your hormones are raging.

Teach Your Children. Maybe an obvious choice, but I've heard it a thousand times and it neve really impacted me until my kids were born.

The Beatles’ “I Will” while we were in the waiting phase for our adoption. To me, it sounded like a song about waiting to find someone.

“… sing it loud so I can hear you. Make it easy to be near you. “.
