Love our Honda Odyssey. I think minivans are the best vehicles when considering human comfort and luggage space.

When our kids were young we had a minivan and it was the perfect road trip car! Now we are empty nesters and I have a Porsche Macan SUV and it’s great for long trips with just the two of us.

Minivan, especially a hybrid one.

Great fuel economy, lots of space.

My favorite road trip car is a Suburban. We had one when I was a kid, and took road trips all over. I rented one for a long road trip for our family if 4 during covid. It was the best! So spacious and comfy. The gas sucks, though.

Everyone knows that rentals with the optional insurance are the fasted cars and the best off roaders. That makes them perfect for road trips.

Any conversion van because you can take a break and sleep in a real bed on a long trip.

Also great for dealing with major traffic jams.
