Maybe feeling like they actually enjoyed and felt full after a low calorie meal. It’s hard to find all three, and feels great when you do. I’m a super shortie and this feels like my own life. |
I think she was just sharing a meal she enjoyed, that is helping her stay on her diet, and hoping we'd appreciate it, too. I think that was the point.
Are you liking Noom, OP? Is it helpful? |
OP here. Thanks to the PPs above who took my post in the manner it was intended. I definitely wasn’t trying to brag. I’ve struggled my whole life with satiety and food issues/weight, so it’s honestly a relief to have found a 300 calorie meal that satisfied me. Noom is a little annoying but it’s definitely working, so I’ll keep at it. |
How is it a brag? I don't get that. That's how you see the world -- everyone is in competition with you. OP was just sharing. |
People frequently post on the food board to ask for healthy meal ideas. There may be someone else wondering what to do with some leftover shrimp. Just because this isn’t your cup of tea doesn’t mean it’s weird. |
Sounds like a perfect dinner to me. And to a PP-- I do go to bed at 8:30 or earlier. I work 7am-4pm so this light dinner fits right into my schedule. I hate heavy meals. They interfere with my sleep.
Going to bed early is a positive strategy to end evening snacking. Everyone needs more sleep too. 8-9 hours of sleep makes you feel like a million bucks in morning. |
I used to go to sleep when I was hungry too in the throes of my eating disorder. Wishing you peace. |
That sounds really good, OP! Thanks for the recipe idea. |
I want more filling ideas! Keep them coming. |
I wouldn't do great with a zero carb dinner. I do love the idea with the rice paper wraps, though. That does sound more filling. |
just check posts by the cabbage lady, best advice on low cal meals. |
9 hours of sleep isn't necessarily good for you: https://www.webmd.com/sleep-disorders/physical-side-effects-oversleeping 7-8 is the sweet spot for most. |
I’m loving this reply, sounds delicious, I love fish sauce and vinegar and hot sauce I’ll eat that everyday if I can but shrimp is not cheap Food prices are still high |
A teaspoon here, a teaspoon there…before you know it, your sugar consumption is crazy high. I just don’t understand why people need to make their salad dressings sweet. |
Me too! It was one 16oz beer!
Joking, sort of. I did my fast day yesterday (600 calories) and had a big salad and grilled chicken for lunch. Still full, but craving my favorite craft beer, so I’m enjoying one frosty and calling it a night. Lol Your meal sounds great, op. Thanks for sharing! |
