My recommendation is to make a Vietnamese vinaigrette with fish sauce, sugar, lime and sriracha, then wrap it all in rice paper with some additional vegetables like radish and carrot. But the rice wraps will add calories.

What about the sugar?

A teaspoon of sugar has negligible calories.

A teaspoon here, a teaspoon there…before you know it, your sugar consumption is crazy high. I just don’t understand why people need to make their salad dressings sweet.

A bit of table sugar added to salad dressings or a cup of coffee at home doesn’t really contribute significantly to sugar overconsumption.

I think this sounds delicious! My growing teen boys would be like, thanks for the salad now where's dinner??, but for my middle-aged self looking to lose weight, I can see the whole cucumber & green pepper having enough bulk, and the shrimp & avocado having enough protein and fat, to fill me up. The only thing that struck me is exactly 4 cherry tomatoes - seems oddly low. Is there a reason to limit cherry tomatoes? I eat them like candy ... Will be sad to learn if they are diet busters, but maybe that's why I need to lose weight .

Anyway, good luck OP! Keep up the experimenting with new yummy low-cal recipes!

OP here. To the PP concerned about the 4 cherry tomatoes, don’t worry, LOL. I just happened to use 4. Noom is fine with tomatoes! This was definitely just my dinner. I wouldn’t subject my kids to anything this low-calorie. My husband loved it too but had other stuff with it as well. So far I’ve lost 7 lbs in 2 weeks and I was away and not watching what I ate for a few of those days. Logging everything I eat is annoying but it’s what I have to do to lose weight, unfortunately.
