Smoothie for lunch

“beef” them up.

When I feel like a smoothie for lunch, that’s what I have. I may or may not have a fruit or veggie or avocado snack a couple of hours later. Or not eat until supper.

This is like asking does a salad fill you up for lunch, or is a piece of toast enough for you at breakfast? It’s different for everyone, and it’s probably not the same every day.

Huh? You can whole food smoothies with fruit, veggies, protein source and nut milk. No healthy person thinks Jamba Juice is a meal.

The OP is literally asking if they have smoothies for lunch.

I'll have a smoothie for lunch on days I don't have much activity and don't have much appetite- like a work from home day with no real workout besides a walk. I do frozen berries, cut up banana, kale, and coconut water.

I love my daily peanut butter smoothie -- for either breakfast or lunch.

I often drink coffee in the morning, then eat breakfast around 930-10, then a protein shake around noon, then something snacky around 4, then dinner about 7.

Jamba Juice is a dessert, not a whole food smoothie.

I've been having smoothies for lunch lately. I make them myself, lots of greens and avocado.
I usually have a snack between smoothie lunch and dinner, but not always.

Only if I’m not very hungry, and I add veg + fruit + protein—otherwise they actually make me hungry!

I did. Now that I work out I do heavy protein right after my workout. My workout end right at lunch. Typically do about a pound of some type of Asian chicken and veggies (light sauce), no rice with an ice green tea.

Have never felt better and lost as much weight consistently.

I usually make a smoothie right after my morning workout. I don’t eat breakfast beforehand. My smoothies are super filling with spinach, 2-3 types of frozen fruits, banana, oatmeal, protein powder, sometimes peanut butter, or whatever I have on hand. A lot of times if I’m busy, I won’t eat lunch and dinner is my next meal. If I have time, I do try to eat a proper lunch or I get hungry.

Am I the only one who thinks a smoothie sounds so disgusting? AND you have to wash a blender.

Sounds good to me. I love my breakfast smoothie. Just getting back from traveling and looking forward to my smoothies again!

By the way, blenders are easy especially if you simply rinse and swish around water/quick wipe as soon as you’ve used it (don’t let it sit). Doesn’t take 1 minute.
