Does anyone have smoothies for lunch?
Do you find them satisfying?
Anonymous
No and no. I eat a meal.

I like shakeology and use it as a 'snack" between breakfast and lunch. I find it helps with the cravings.

I love smoothies, but no I can't use them to replace a meal. I'm hungry an hour later, even when it's full of protein and fat.

Smoothies are full of sugar. I can't use them as a meal substitute and would rather eat whole foods.

I do maybe once a week during the workday. They’re full of green vegetables and are satiating enough for me.

I like a smoothie with a fried egg on toast. That’s my favorite healthy meal. I don’t put a lot besides fruit and veggies in my smoothies though.

Huh? You can whole food smoothies with fruit, veggies, protein source and nut milk. No healthy person thinks Jamba Juice is a meal.

Sometimes, yes, since I WFH most days. My go to includes frozen fruit, kale, Greek yogurt drink (the brand is Pillars), vanilla soy protein powder, and water.

If I add protein powder or yogurt yes.

Sometime I do a smoothie and 2 hard boiled eggs.

No. I like to chew things and I don't enjoy cleaning the blender.

The blender thing used to be my hang up and then I realized that if I do it right after making the smoothie, it takes like 90 seconds because everything rinses right off and just needs a little swipe with soap and a brush.

I agree with you on the solid food thing though. We make smoothies a lot but I always pair them with food I chew. I don’t like drinking meals.

Water and dish soap squirt and blend. Cleaned.

No. Even when I need them up with protein and fiber I find I’m hungry too soon afterwards.
