The notion that Marylanders have a monopoly on love for crabs is ludicrous. Marylanders love Old Bay, not crab.

I love crab. MD folks are more used to crab, that's all.

LMAO. So defensive! Marylanders love crab in all forms. Especially steamed crabs, crabcakes, crab chowder. Where did the world-famous Crab Bomb originate? Maryland. What do you think the Old Bay goes on?

I do agree with you, PP, but to be fair, old bay can go on everything.

Burgers?! The extras are fried chicken, corn on the cob and coleslaw. If the crabs are decent size and we have no teens, we usually do 3 per person, but it really depends on your crowd. I eat 1 typically while my teens est 6-8.

Yep! I grew up going to many family crab feasts at the homes of family members on the eastern shore. There were also always saltine crackers. We always had brownies as well

Ps I pick the extras and use them in omelets the next morning.

Omelets? That's a waste. We pick 'em and make delicious crab cakes for the next night's dinner.

We, native Marylanders, went to California last month, and were served all that Dungeness crab. Yuck. We could barely choke it down.

We were so happy to get back to Cantler’s.
