Yes, of course. But it’s so much more than a saving of democracy. To vote straight Democratic in this particular election is saving the American character of fairness, decency, and justice. People who say “the soul of our country” is at stake are not exaggerating.

I am an anti-trump Republican who is socially liberal (yes on choice, equality, teaching actual history) and there are few Republicans with the character or courage to improve our country. It’s got to be all blue for the next couple election cycles to right our path.
