Where are these — fridge, open barrels, jars? |
Take me back. |
| A large Greek salad |
| Just gimme some hot Greek men as my tizer |
no lettuce |
Can you describe the salad? |
I wish mine randomly assigned contributions. We didn't attend because we didnt' really fit their "costume, dance and country of origin" guidelines. |
When I was in Greece, the “Greek Salad” was cherry tomatoes, black olives (not positive of the type), peppers and onions, oregano and topped with a brick of white cheese (again, not sure of type but not feta or halloumi). |
Spanakopita is in the frozen section. |
Just looked up the salad I had and it does say feta cheese — but to me doesn’t taste like the feta & crumbles we have. Also said “kalamon” olives. Ah, even the olives there were so much better than I’ve had before. And delicious pita bread. |
What about the olives? |
Spanakopita is EVERYWHERE in Greece and it's exactly the same as here
|
| Another vote for the Trader Joe's spanakopita, it's delish. If you want less authentic but bigger quantity of it, Costco has it in the frozen appetizer section. |
Hummus isn't Greek so I have no idea why you included this in your list. |
