I second this. Intensive ab workouts like situps can really exacerbate conditions like diastasis recti, and you may have it, so get checked out by a pelvic floor PT first. I didn't have diastasis after pregnancy (not bad, anyway -- maybe a 1-inch separation) and I still took it really slow, like a lot of clamshells and side planks before attempting situps or regular planks.
