Do you tip Lyft/Uber drivers?

I always tip.

No, I don't tip. And I have a 4.9 rating.

I always tip, just like I would a cab driver.

No! The whole appeal of Lyft and Uber, in the beginning, was to not have to worry about tipping, exchanging money, etc. Tipping culture is outrageous!

Exactly. I thought this was part of the point.

Anonymous wrote:Yes, I tip. It’s historically typical to tip cab drivers, hence I’ll tip Lyft/Uber drivers. That’s different than people who work at Target.

So much +1000

Usually but it depends. If they take some convoluted way or are a horrible (jerky/hard on the brakes), no.

Nooooooo. That was never it. Ever.

Yes, I tip. They rate you before they know if they got tipped or not. I usually do 10%.

No I don't.

Always. No one is doing this job who doesn't really need the money.

It definitely was in the beginning; however, Uber and Lyft started screwing over drivers on comp about a year or two ago. I remember reading about it and it was really outrageous so now I tip. The original model was never sustainable and was just burning through PE cash.
