Look for a place with a hot turkey sandwich on the menu. That's the right kind of gravy. And almost every restaurant that serves that will also have fries.
Then you just have to ask them to put the gravy on the fries.... |

Go to Baltimore. Pretty much every diner will have this.
Writing this, I’m guessing that all you need is a restaurant that sells both fries and gravy. I’m sure they’ll do this for you if you ask. So, maybe Silver Diner? |
| DO you guys remember Stoney's on 14th and P? Best gravy fries ever. Miss that place.... |
This. Tastee Diner definitely does. In Virginia, maybe Bob & Edith’s? |
| Don't most diners have that? |
Oh man, I’m from Western PA too. I once had a craving for a hot roast beef sandwich and saw that they had one at Silver Diner. Big Mistake!!! They fancied it up with balsamic vinegar and I almost cried I was so disappointed! |
| Parkway Deli definitely has fries and gravy so I think you could easily get this there. |
Yes - gravy fries are on the menu |

Sorry! I was trying to imagine DC area equivalents of a good Baltimore diner — since the ones from my youth are long gone. Maybe I should have suggested the Florida Avenue Grill — but I haven’t personally been there since COVID, and I’m not positive that they have fries. Favorites to check in Baltimore would include Jimmy’s and Sip N Bite. And the Dog House. Sadly, I can’t remember the name of the place with the duck fat fries — but they probably don’t have gravy. |
It’s still here. |
| Ha. Fries and gravy is my favorite order from the Ikea cafe. |
