They could, but that’s usually not done, it’s usually up to the younger members to keep the group alive when the older members enlist first and vice-versa. Plus it gives them the opportunity to pursue their own goals for awhile. Can you imagine the power of a Jimin/V/JK subunit? Then in a few years, j-hope’s solo debut while Jin gets his first acting role? If they all enlist at the same time it’s 18-22 months completely out of the public eye + some extra time tacked on the end as they prepare their comeback. The better part of two years where no members are hyping up the younger groups or doing their own solo work. It would be extremely unusual. |
I wish they would announce already. BTS is very unusual so who knows, I don’t expect them to follow the pattern of previous groups. |
+1. Ask your grandkids. They know |

I have no regard for their music, but they're icons and it will be a good thing for everyone involved. A step above Kardashian visiting with Trump, let's say

Look them up YouTube. I think their Dynamite video has over 1B views. They're also known for their Butter song. |

It would be cool if they put on a performance like they did at the UN headquarters

Definitely |

You know they've gone mainstream when Pentatonix does a mash-up of their songs.

| These boys are prettier than 90% of girls and have more make-up on than 99% of girls |
So? |
Don't you wish you were as pretty as they are? |
I don’t understand this level of ignorance about pop culture. They’ve been promoting in the US for 5 years. Appearances on SNL, awards shows, TV and internet ads, members are constantly trending on Twitter …. At this point it’s like not knowing Ed Sheeran or Dua Lipa or something. Idk I can’t fathom being that far out of the loop. |
