LIV kids are clustered in groups of 4-5 in Gen Ed classroom. The Teacher is supposed to use the LIV curriculum for all the kids with differentiated tasks for the different kids. At least, that is how it has been described here. Instead of having all the LLIV kids in one class, they are clustered in Gen Ed classes. |
| If you are in a Center School, there is no principal placement. That’s what sucks about Center schools. |
| We are not at a center school, I asked AART about principal placement and she said my kid would need to take a series of tests and do really well. This is really different than anything I’ve read on this forum. We are def not a cluster school. |
I wonder how the Principal is going to decide who would be in the same class as the level IV kids (probably just 1-2 classes out of 6 at my school). |
I know our school uses iReady and SOLs to determine Advanced Math and LIII participation, I would imagine that your school uses those same tests for Principal placement. |
You can FOIA it |
Ours is the opposite. They think that more marginal students benefit most from the exposure to the advanced curriculum. It works out because enough of them leave for math that the other kids coming in for advanced math don't over crowd the class |
I guess the cluster model is what VMPI proposed. |
The Cluster model has nothing to do with VMPI. It covers all the subject. You are like a dog with a bone, just focused on chewing one thing and one thing only. |
In past 2 years lots principal places at center school |
Can’t tell if you’re trolling or serious. Either way, it captures all that is disgusting and entitled about so many parents in FCPS. |
Can you tell me more about how to do this? |
https://www.fcps.edu/about-fcps/policies-regulations-and-notices/virginia-freedom-information-act-vfoia You have to tailor the request, but you can get anything that doesn't contain PII from the principal or AARTs e-mail or computer |
|
| Won’t the AART and Principal be mad if people start needlessly FOIAing them? |
