UVa has a 2-year accounting concentration you can apply for during your sophomore year. Starting this year, it will be a 3-year accounting concentration you can apply to in your freshman year.

That's what they said when computers were getting rolled out to businesses. Accounting systems were the first to be automated. Do you see any homeless accountants or minimum wage accountants?

The above are the best, but the best isn't necessary to land a Big 4 accounting position.

JMU
Ole Miss is strong & offers a lot of merit scholarship awards.
Villanova.

Undergraduate and masters GPA is important to get an interview for the best positions.

In order to sit for a CPA state licensing exam, one needs 5 years worth of college credits. Most earn a 4 year degree in accounting, then earn a one year masters degree in accounting, taxation, data analytics, or a related area.

Can enjoy experiencing two colleges/universities by earning an undergraduate degree in accounting at one school, then earning a master's degree at another school.

hello, fellow Deac I was about to post the same. One of my best friends did the accounting program. She has done well for herself.

Granted, it is stupid expensive now.

Another Wake grad who was going to say the same! I ended up going to school school and didn't do the masters in accounting but I was on track to do so (ended up doing some more accounting classes during my JD and LLM although never sat for the CPA exam).

CNU has a business school and accounting major

OP: At many schools, the intro accounting courses are difficult. Sets a high standard of expectations and weeds out the less industrious students.
