“I like to throw my vote away!!!” |
The “good” ones like Ana Navarro and Steve Schmidt and Tara Stottlemyer left the republican party. Anyone willing to live under that label isn’t inherently good. IMHO, of course. |
If they're supporting the fascist, autocratic, seditious fringe (I'll add supporting anti-science, racist, and misogynistic policies), then how good can they be? It would be different if they made the fringe stay at the fringe and pushed them farther out, but they're embracing and pulling them into the center. That's not how I define good, but maybe we have different standards. |
Straight red forever! |
+1 If they’ll tolerate alllllll of the GOP’s current crap, how good can they be? There’s not a single one I’d vote for (sorry, not even if my mother were a R and just running for local office). |
I’m 43 years old. Raised by post-WW2 boomers, I am incredibly patriotic. I love my country.
One day soon I’m going to wake up and the right to my own body I’ve had since the day I was born will be taken away. It will be taken away from my daughter. If one right can be removed, they can all be removed, right up until the night they lead you out of your house at gunpoint. I no longer believe “it could never happen in America.” I used to, how naïve. I don’t 100% agree with a lot of members of the Democratic Party, but they are not the party that turned a blind eye to just how bad Jan 6th was and now this, 50 years in the making, the conservative goal of getting enough anti-choice justices in the Supreme Court, those justices twisting themselves into a judicial knot to justify in law, removing a fundamental right of American citizens. I just hope the swing voters sit up and take notice, or this great experiment so conceived and so dedicated will become a footnote in history. |
+1 The GOP has shown that not only do they not understand the Constitution or the ideals that undergird our democracy, but they also think 51% of the population should be denied full citizenship. |
Hogan is not the issue. I voted for him, and would do so again. But I certainly will vote straight blue at the Federal level. The tribe has been taken over by a bunch of losers. |
I will vote for an anti-Trump, pro-choice Republican (are there any left??) in the right circumstances. I just can’t think of the last time one of those was running in an election I voted in. I’m a Democratic centrist and do not like the direction of the Democratic Party, but at least they don’t support rolling back my rights as an American citizen. |
If you don’t vote blue, you will never have the chance to vote green again. |
r or d, such slogans are pure cringe. gack. |
Agreed.
If Republicans left abortion rights alone and quit pandering to the religious nutjobs, I could be persuaded to give Republican candidates a consideration - I do not lean far left. But the present day party is flat out repulsive. |
Who tried to blackmail the Ukrainian president again? And you say the democrats need to get it together? GTFO |
Time to grow up and take your medicine. Go get two choices in our political system, that’s it. |
Republicans only have power BECAUSE they have been pandering to the religious nutjobs. They don't believe in the separation of church and state. They don't believe in fiscal restraint. They don't believe in law and order. They only believe in power and corruption and subjugation. |
