She's been married for over 30 years to someone who was a backup singer for Elvis.

Don't give up. You are loved and worthy.

They were all estranged at various points in time. I hope they reconciled before her passing.

Oh that’s horrible that she felt she couldn’t hang on for that.

Timing is everything. It's of note she did this the day before the induction to hall of fame.

For someone with severe anxiety and depression, who didn’t like going out in public, the announcement of the tour and the induction tomorrow was probably too much

Actually she loved being on tour and the adulation of crowds, it was all the silence on her own that got her too much in her head and kept her in pjs and bed for weeks at a time.

The Judds all struggle with childhood ptsd from abuse and the family is a classic example of intergenerational family dysfunction. Their willingness to speak openly about all that is a gift to the societal conversation about these critical issues.

RIP Naomi

I was truly saddened to hear this news.

While I am not a fan of their genre of music - I was very inspired by Naomi Judd the woman.
I own the two books she wrote.

Her story is so sad.
She claimed in her later years that her Mother never loved her.
She lost a close brother to cancer when she was a teenager.
She was estranged from her daughter throughout her life.

She was a single, working Mother of two.
Struggled w/money early on.
Lived out in the country, sometimes had no heat, telephone, T.V. or enough food.
One of her ex-boyfriends was a dangerous felon who ended up stalking her.
Her current husband had cheated on her early on.

But she had her faith and truly inspired me through both her books as well as her public appearances.

I knew that she struggled hard w/mental issues.
I saw her in an interview w/Robin Roberts for ABC where her medication made her face swell up and her hands shake.
She discussed being suicidal previously.

She was molested as a young girl by an Uncle.

I could go on & on…

I hope she did not commit suicide.

She had so much to live for.
She was close to her oldest Grandchild, a Grandson and she was to be inducted into the Hall of Fame later today.
She had a reunion tour lined up w/Wynona in the fall too.

But mental illness never discriminates. Sadly.🕊🕊🕊

Yes, the timing is really odd.

Poor Winona. Now her eventual induction will always be tainted by this memory.

Her sexual abuse trauma sounded particularly horrible, early and ongoing. This is a tragedy.
