Then I apologize if you took offense. My "troll" comment was aimed at the deportation nonsense. |
| Principal Roberts was in person at Day 1 today |
| Ok now where is the school going to move to? |
I don’t think the school is even close to a decision. |
|
I don’t understand if the principal coming back was so up in the air, then why not move on and find another one.
School is starting in 3 weeks and they are still waiting for the immigration stuff to pan out. If it hasn’t by now, why would they think it will when school starts? |
I thought it was sorted out and she was there? |
Never change, DCUM. Never change. |
| She is at the school in person now. The kids have orientation that she is leading. |
Classic moment of random DCUM poster with free-floating rage asking aggressive questions without tether to reality. The principal of Latin Cooper campus is a long-standing and well-respected member of the Latin community who has been fully engaged from abroad ( imagine that! ) all along. She is now joyfully back in DC in person and school at the Cooper campus has ALREADY begun with students in attendance under her leadership. Hope this update allays pp’s deep concerns

Kids are already at LatinCooper receiving orientation?
We have a rising 5th grader enrolled at 2nd St (yes, we won the lottery). Why would there be orientation for one group of incoming kids in early Aug but not other incoming students at 2nd? Or is this the optional summer school program and not orientation? |
I heard it was because your kid is being persecuted and everyone else is being offered what your kid is not. Take a breath. My lord. |
The optional summer school program is basically an orientation. |
Actually, I heard the same thing about PP's kid. You need to look into things, PP. |
|
As I understand it (my kid is at Cooper), they wanted to have the orientation to prepare themselves for the first school year, and prepare the kids as well. They are figuring out things like drop-offs, for example, to make sure that it's a system that makes sense for the parents, staff, and also the neighborhood.

Thanks. That makes sense. Hope all is going well! |
