| The people who really annoy me now are those who act like they could have done a better job making all the major decisions authority figures had to make during the pandemic. If only the people of DCUM could have been in charge, everything would have worked out so much better! Ridiculous. |

I thought OP meant people who don’t care about things like going to work (or working hard), dressing up, going to regular social obligations, etc.
And I was going to say kiss me where the sun don’t shine. I barely work, ever. Wear soft clothes every day. Take a daily nap. Enjoy time with my spouse, kids, friends and family. If we want to let the kids stay home from school and go to an arcade all afternoon, come home to grill out back, have people over and get a little tipsy with our neighbors on a Tuesday night, we just do it. Covid has been a godsend. |

I'm fed up with the terrible customer service that's still being passed off as pandemic related.
That excuse was fine in 2020 and 2021, but it's 2022. If your business is still struggling with getting employees and providing the service you offer - the whole reason you're in business - then it's no longer the fault of the pandemic; it's your fault for being a shitty manager and/or business owner. |
Why not take some responsibility for your condition? |
Eh. Americans are not going to work like they did pre-pandemic. White collar realized they could get more done in less time. So 1-2 days in the office, everything else is flexible. Blue collar realized they can get on that government money and make nearly what they did working 40-60 hours a week just sitting home and smoking legal pot. Who do you think is going to go wait tables or man a help center call line in 2022? Nobody. You better get ready for the kind of customer service you get in most of the rest of the world (exceptions for Japan, Dubai, maybe a couple others). |
Oh ok. Tell that to the millions who have died around the world. Or the others using horse medicine or injecting bleach. |
Who exactly is responsible for pawning off the “horse medicine” to Africans to treat malaria? |
What government money are you talking about? All that is gone. |
If someone injected bleach, they deserve to have perished. |
Another word for a “shot” offends you?
Ok idiot. |
| I think OP means the newly pervasive attitude of people constantly saying they don't care--particularly on social media. Like, we get it. You don't care. Being an introvert is now glamorized while liking people and being social is considered a type of weakness. I have a cousin who has been saying this since the nineties, we were part of a close circle of friends but she has been since cut out, and guess what, she actually doesn't "not care"! |
Care to elaborate? Not about your cousin, everything else. |

Well played, OP
Toss our random statement that everyone can project their own worried on and sit back and watch the fun. |
I’m an introvert who cares deeply about other people, has good social skills, and makes an effort with others. In fact, I think part of my introversion is due to the fact that I work at being kind and thoughtful towards others. I need alone time to recharge because when I’m with others, I give more than I take. If people are using introversion to justify being jerks, they aren’t really introverts. They’re just selfish and lazy. |
