How much to tip at Top Golf?

Tip on food and drink only. Also just do 15%. Make that the new norm.

And yes the manager had my card and said people usually tip 20%, do you want me to run that?

"Yes run that. $10 total tip please. We won't be back".

+1 this is a common scam

Do you tip on the rental of a bay?

Complain to the manager's manager and light them up on Yelp/Google.

I'd go back and intentionally spill a drink on the floor and leave.

Simple rule. Anyone (or the computer system they chose to deploy) who suggests a specific tip amount gets $0.

Yeah, OK waiter.
Get a better job.
Tell your manager its the business' responsibility to pay their employees before you leave.

15% is a perfectly fine tip, on only the food and drink items.

I tip what I feel like. It's very liberating! If I feel like tipping 29.5% that's what I do. Sometimes I don't tip at all. Tipping hasn't gotten out of control and I don't play the game anymore

You don't tip on the golf. Ridiculous.

Pro tip - get the Topgolf App and buy some gift cards/credits that often run $150 for $100 deals. That money is usable on gameplay only. When you get to TG, the bay fees will deduct from whatever is on your app, and the check the server brings you will be on food only.

Better yet, just skip top golf entirely.

I went to TG for the first time last month and loved it. I definitely didn’t tip on the golf. I think I did 30% on the food. Waiter was decent and he did show us some stuff regarding the golf games. If people are tipping on food and golf at TG, I may have to start moonlighting there.
