I wouldn't do anything permanent.

+1
entering 50s and can't believe I cared about this so much.

WHen i met my DH, literally no one was going bare, and so that's what my generation grew up with and knows. THe generation or two after me had different expectations.

I do think the bare trend will cycle out pretty soon, if it hasn't already.

When i was in 6th grade, i distinctly remember my school library had a subscription to Teen Magazine and had a Q&A article where someone said their BF had requested they shave it off, and the magazine advised they immediately break up because their BF was potentially a pedophile. Times change.....

Millennials ARE Gen Y... not quite sure who you're referring to here

In similar age (39) with kids. Surprised all your friends are bare.

None of mine my age age. Maybe we all were at 18-25 when Brazilians were the rage. But it isn’t anymore. Younger woman aren’t going bare anymore. Many of them don’t even shave underarms or legs regularly.

So I would say the trend is not going bare, but your friends keeping that up either really like it or are stuck on what was popular in their early 20s.

Personally, I do what you do except I had the parts I normally would shave lasered. Now I have nearly zero maintenance

I’m exactly your age, married with 3 kids and basically have the same except I get it waxed every couple of months and that’s the only maintenance. I’m not super hairy so I don’t need more than that. Dh is happy with whatever makes me comfortable.
I got a Brazilian once when I was younger and it was excruciating when it grew in, SO itchy. Never doing that again!

I'm 38 and I've been doing the same thing since I started waxing at 15 (I can't shave without horrible, itchy ingrowns). I do a medium sized triangle up top and then everything on the undercarriage off. Basically a true Brazilian before Amerucans decided a Brazilian meant bald. (Brazilians call bald a "Hollywood.")

My new Covid look is trimmed full bush. Dh is fine with it.

Man here and I've seen about 10 women in their 20s in the last few months. All fully shaved. I don't mind some hair there, but doesn't seem to be popular among women in that age range.

40F here. Full wax for me. I can't shave down there, the itching is unbearable.

I don't find it to be that much maintenance. I go every 3-4 weeks and it takes 10-15 min. I have an unlimited package so I only need to leave a tip.

This makes so much more sense.

They’re trying to hold onto their childhood.

NP. Jokes aside, I suspect the demographic of women who are sleeping with the type of guy who sleeps with 10 women in 3 months are more likely to be bare than the general population. I don't think they're sex workers, but probably are more likely to be extremely focused on their looks and/or have some self-worth/self-esteem issues where they worry about what others think about them.

NP. But whenever this comes up there is a super shrill minority of hirsute older women who attempt to gaslight everyone into thinking the “hip new style” with all the hot young girls is Bob Ross in a leglock. It isn’t.
