Instagram family: Happy Caravan

I wonder how much time each day they spend doing it for the gram? One fairly elaborate video almost daily. Kids like this really should've getting paid. They are child actors.

Well that was depressing. Poor kids.

No pics of their apartment?

There was a video somewhere. It’s pretty sad. Boys bedroom is also the dining room, there are no toys anywhere (no wonder the kids like music it’s literally the only thing there is to do).

Look what happened with the Duggars. America was obsessed with them until their dirty laundry came out and what dirty laundry it was! Barf.

This family gives me a different vibe. They didn't used to be crammed in a small living space, but have musically talented kids and needed to find them a way to continue to grow musically. I applaud the parents for finding a way to make it work so the kids could attend one of the best music conservatives in the country. The older ones are still at home, but have serious studies at the conservatory. They live at home because th COL in SF is outrageous.

I understand that the girls aren't required to wear dresses, but it was expected at a fundie church they used to be members of in San Diego. They left that church, but the girls still feel more comfortable in dresses.

I follow them and it seems they started IG and YouTube to share music performances. That seems normal. They now share more about their family because people kept asking.

Ok shill. People keep asking me to share more about my life and my kids. Because of my job we are fame adjacent z-listers but people are curious. I say no. No one is put out there against their will. People are famous because they claw their way there.

Not saying this family is famous but they really really want to be. Look at their branded van that they drive all around the city with their IG and youtube channels. The kids have no choice and there are no laws to protect them. Very sad

Shill? Seriously? I have a 5 yo who is learning violin and followed them so I could show her videos of kids having fun playing music. Until very recently the feeds were just kids giving performances. It only recently switched into IG focusing on their lives.

The van just happened in February and seemed to be a dream child of the graphic designer dad and a desire not to drive a big while blob. Meh. I find it funny.

The two oldest kids are apparently applying to music conservatories all over the country, including in NYC. They're not Duggar-style. The girls are allowed to pursue a career and be ambitious. Maybe the kids aren't prodigies, but they're good enough to try to make it their profession.

I live in SF. If the parents got their Hayes Valley apartment long ago enough and it was built before a certain year, they have a good rent control cost of rent. I pay $1500 in a rent controlled apartment in a different neighborhood in the city. I only moved in ten years ago. If they moved in 15 years ago they’re probably paying under $1k.

I just clicked on the first link. There is a video tour of their apartment.

And yes, the eldest come across as a little stunted and creepy.

No kidding! Essentials like rent and food are easily $10k/month. Then paying for lessons and buying all those instruments? Diapers? Doc appointments? Clothing? The dad is a graphic designer?? This doesn’t add up…

People can make a surprising amount of money with a successful YouTube channel.

It's kind of Partridge Family-esque

Not how I want to live my life, but to each their own.

The kids are actually quite good. Where the heck are they practicing? Maybe at the conservatory? They probably all have scholarships unless dad has a trust fund or something.

They claim they homeschool 10 kids? Really???

As per Instagram, they seem to practice in a parking garage a lot of the time, which is super bizarre.

I don't have Instagram so I watched one of their YouTube videos. The 7 yr old at her first recital was very impressive! I'd hate to be in that situation growing up. I'm an introvert and I couldn't stand to be crammed in with so many people all day every day. Too much togetherness.

Partridge family was a sitcom. And look how well Danny Bonaduce turned out.

In one of their videos they say they are paying $4,500/month in rent.
