Greasy fried rice

Most Chinese takeout is super greasy IMO

That is why it tastes so good. So much oil and butter. Have you ever watched them prepare the fried rice at hibachi before?

Try Ziang's Food Workshop on YouTube. They have a great recipe for fried rice. It's easy to make (they show you all the steps) and it tastes great.

You can make rice easily in an Instant Pot, if you have one.

Really high heat -- cook quick, and the main secret ingredient: Oyster Sauce

Don't use soy -- use oyster sauce. (If you can find the Lee Kum Kee premium with lady on the boat, that is best, but others are fine too).
If you can get chinese roast pork (i.e. char siu), that is really good. Otherwise, make with spam, or just egg is also tasty.

Also, you can cook your rice in a microwave. Don't believe the hype that you must have a rice cooker. Take a cup of rice, cover it with the recommended water and cook for 20 minutes in a microwave. If it's too dry, add more water. I know...blasphemy to those who swear by rice cookers but it's the only way I make rice.

Yep, rice in microwave us my dirty little secret. 1 part rice to 2 parts water, cover and cook for 20 minutes at 40% power for white rice and 40-45 for brown rice. I have a nice glass pot especially for cooking the rice.
