any cons in suspended student loans debt?

Why not use those funds to subsidize the education or debts of lower income households? Why do I need to subsidize your bad decision making when this same $ could go to those who truly need it?

This is just latte liberal policies.

I have yet to see a progressive address this point.

Progressives routinely use the language of injustice and equity to further their own personal self-interests.

Is that even true? No wealthy person I knew had their kids take out student loans. In fact, it’s the new standard of UMC life- paying for college tuition and probably grad school too. The exception may be doctors who are in for $300k and close to a decade of training before they make any decent money. And the results of that have been entirely predictable- the best doctors don’t go into primary care or even surgery. They run for dermatology so they can pay off those bills.

The poorest of the poor can’t through get school even with loans because so many lack the other supports.. Loans are the province of the lower and middle classes.

Hah. Primary Physicians make upwards of $204k. UMC students do not deserve subsidies. Lower income students, particularly those of color, deserve my tax dollars.

Umm... progressives want to educate you and not be educated by you.

How about a middle ground. Pay back your loans but make it interest free. People should pay back what they take out, not pay back three times what they take out even when faithfully making monthly payments.

What happens to the bond funds holding these student loan asset backed securities? A lot of retirement funds hold these securities.

What progressives don't realize is that quite often we don't need you to educate us, thank you very much. We'd like to be left alone and not have progressives shriek like mad harridans at how morally awful we are for disagreeing with you and getting in the way of your beloved "right side of history" vision.

I have yet to meet a single conservative who actually wants people who aren’t like them to be able to live their own lives. Atheist? Gay? Trans? Pregnant and you don’t wanna be? Drug user not hurting anyone? Always an exception for the “small government” rule when it comes to people living a lifestyle they don’t approve of. Yet don’t you dare sniff around their poorly-secured arsenals, their churches full of molesters, and the ignorance they force on their children.

They want the government to help them live their lives, and help them exploit everyone else. They demand privilege. In the old days they brought in the sheriffs to recover their slave property, and today they are passing laws to prevent people from controlling their own reproductive health and to bust unions.

Conservatives haven’t done a single thing right in this country since it’s founding. Not a single thing.

I guess shareholders and bond managers won’t be able to profit off the misery of people who took out six figures of non-dischargable debt before they could even drink. You know, some of the people that would benefit include the student loan holders and their co-sign or parents. I think they’d be happy to trade in a small percentage of return.

GDP will go way down if they are not suspended. For an example I am looking forward in going to a concert, and spending more and more money, I will be unable to do this if they are not suspended.

Sorry. You're going to have to pay back the enormous loan you voluntarily took out to attend Oberlin or Middlebury. Your problem, not ours.

Umm... do you actually think most people want *progressives* doing the educating? No thanks.
