any cons in suspended student loans debt? ?
GDP will go way down if they are not suspended. For an example I am looking forward in going to a concert, and spending more and more money, I will be unable to do this if they are not suspended. |
Inflation is already sky high. Restarting student loan repayments is the key to reducing inflation, as millions of people like you, will have less money to spend on goods. |
OH MY GOD. I just can't believe you said that. |
Troll. Pay your debts. |
Its the truth. - DP |
So you won’t be able to go to a concert if you adult and pay your bills?
You are the reason student loans shouldn’t exist at all in most cases. If they didn’t, college would be a lot more affordable. And they’d be harder to get, which would cull out a lot of applicants like you who can’t seem to grasp things like life choices and responsibility. |
we need to get $ out of circulation asap. either we all pay the price from rate hikes or borrowers pay the price by paying their debt. |

Are you asking if there is a disadvantage to suspending student loans debt?
Yes. Many. People need to pay back what they owe, just like everyone before them did. You're asking working people who never went to college to forgive your fancy loans. And there was way too much free money being sloshed around in the last two years, leading to today's inflationary and growing inflationary mess. |
Trollolololol. I guarantee the OP already responded to himself in this thread. People keep taking this bait. |
| Probably a troll, but forgiving student loans will have a ton of unintended consequences that likely will adversely impact moderates/independents voting D in 2022. |

Of course there are cons. People who got educated might be able to afford to have kids and houses again, or to follow their passions and take risks and start businesses instead of sticking with grind jobs for 30 years. Some people might even be able to afford the occasional vacation. The horror.
Banks and the government forgive other kinds of debt taken out by people trying to make a buck every single day. You can load up in credit card debt or stiff your employees out of wages and the bankruptcy system will let your company walk away. But a kid who took out six figures of debt when he wasn’t even considered mentally mature enough to have a beer? Naw, that kid will have that debt until he and all of his co-signers die. Some country, some system. |

Student debt relief is highly regressive as higher income families are more likely to borrow and to borrow more than lower income families.
Why not use those funds to subsidize the education or debts of lower income households? Why do I need to subsidize your bad decision making when this same $ could go to those who truly need it? This is just latte liberal policies. |

People need to pay their debts. If they chose a useless major that should be reserved for wealthy families, it’s on them.
Get a degree that gets you a paying job. |
Reserved for wealthy families? WTF! I agree with the part that states degrees need to get decent jobs, but no degrees should be reserved for anyone. Give me a break. |
