What is the minimum salary you'd date?

So you’re single?

Who talks about salaries on a date? I only found out how much the last guy made because he was drunk and bragging. He made a lot, but the drunkeness didn't make up for it. lol

What if she had a fixed rate mortgage?

Woman: My requirement was that he make at least as much as me and have a similar work ethic and drive, which I found in DH, though I later learned he had an overspending problem that caused a lot of turbulence in the beginning of our marriage.

Wow, low the class background dig. So a guy who worked from nothing to a solid job as a pediatrician is beneath you? Talk about class.

Not at all. I have tremendous respect for anyone who works their way up and married one.

I only date other white collar professionals. It’s not that hard.

No married but divorcing. Married a guy who made $70K when we met (as did I). He makes >$500K now. I am still leaving him.

My wife thought I had it together but no real earning potential when we first started dating. These days, I have to tell her it wasn’t personal that I was throwing up a smoke screen.

$0/min wage. I'd help him with his resume and we'd work through it if he ever got laid off. However, he'd have to be DEAD serious about non-gold digging marriage and PROVEN fathering skills with younger siblings/foster children and a chore workaholic.

I don't have a minimum salary reqt for women I'd date ... and would run if I thought they had one for me.

That is super shitty to let someone hitch their life to you based on a fraudulent presentation. I imagine she is somewhat resentful.

Man. My wife earned much less than I when we met. So I didn’t worry about it. I wouldn’t worry about someone’s salary now.

Exactly this. I make a lot of money so I don't care.

Also, I do watch that if she has expensive tastes if she doesn't make much herself. Designer handbags or shoes are fine if she makes big money herself but if not, it's a big red flag for me.
