I find this interesting, as my kids who are doing sports say no other kids are wearing masks at indoor practices. They were required to in January, but the masks just started going away. When I pick them up from practices no children exiting the buildings are wearing masks. I think it may be different for the younger grades, but in MS and HS I doubt there has been mask compliance since the beginning of the year making it all so silly to me. |
Are you guys kidding me with the "no one is wearing masks" routine? Do none of you shop at Bradley? Are none of you outside of TC or MH after dismissal? There are by far more kids wearing masks than not wearing masks.
After kids were dismissed from TC the other day, we went to Starbucks; every adult in the store was wearing a mask, every single TC kid in the store was wearing a mask and the EHS kids were mostly wearing masks. Stop making things up. And STOP bullying the teacher. |
My son goes to GWMS and says that, except at lunch, the vast, vast majority kids are wearing masks (including during gym). The only intramurals he does are outdoor only, though. |
If you shopped there you'd know it's Bradlee |
Ooops. "Bradlee" Apparently I misspelled the name of the shopping center. My bad. LOL at the poster who thinks that is the most important take-away from my post. |
Bullying? How is this bullying. It is just my observation after sports practices. I know almost all kids have a mask somewhere near their faces throughout the course of the school day. |
But those are valid points. |
There. Fixed that for you. Not only are you a bully but you're an idiot. (NP) |
Pp here that you were referring to. You sound pretty defensive. I don’t think I was snide or I didn’t intend to be. Just bringing up relevant points for my school population. Seems like you have a different set of students. Not sure what inaccuracies you are referring to, but overall one way masking works and you can continue to do so. Of course, the system can’t afford to lose any teachers so hope you consider how you can feel safe at school as restrictions are loosened. |
Seriously, how is this bullying? And why is this idiocy? I would name the sports, but it would undermine anonymity. Acting as if mask compliance (proper material, wear, and fit) is almost absolute perpetuates the unscientific, impassioned commitment to the notions that 1) they work, and 2) all must wear to afford protection. Masks have huge downsides, especially for young children. I would post the videos of the fights at school - but that would be wholly inappropriate - simply to show the reality of what the students look like in the hallways during class change. |
There was no important takeaway from your anecdotal post about Starbucks |
Someone really doesn't like teachers at ACPS. |
Hello. I just read a PTA email that said masks would be optional starting March 1. Has anyone else heard a date? |
What PTA sent that? ACPS school board hasn’t even voted on the issue yet. |
What do they need to vote on? The ability to opt out of wearing a mask is now the law. |
