People who are really vain.

People who are passive aggressive and attention seeking. And who can’t just be direct. Like the people who post the vague Facebook “things will get better soon…. I just know it. Thanks to my friends for always being there.”

Surprised at people pointing to lack of empathy because in my experience people don’t seem to care that much about it. Or rather, many people take it for granted in others but don’t seem to require it as necessary. I’ve heard people criticized for caring too much, but rarely for caring too little.

My favorites are the ones who “check in” to the hospital when they’re attending a routine visit at the adjoining doctors’ offices (or visiting someone else in the hospital) with no context so they can get 35 comments saying “OMG HONEY ARE YOU OK???”
