Out of curiosity, why? |

Chili and ramen aren't soup.
Pho is though. |

Definitely more in the winter, and I'm trying to make it so that we always have soup or soup leftovers right now. It's so good, good reheated, and a great way to pile in the vegetables while spreading out meat, which we all should be doing.
I'm not a bread person, but you can add variety there too be serving sourdough, biscuits, breadsticks, croutons, a grilled cheese, etc. |
| Weekly. And once I make a pot we likely have it for two meals. Taco soup and chicken noodle soup with matzo balls are huge huge hits in my house with toddlers |

This time of year, I’m eating soup 4-5 times a week for lunch. Some days it’s a bowl of it with saltines. Other days, I’m pairing a cup of it with a small sandwich. This week was homemade potato soup, and some split pea soup from a neighbor.
In the summer, I basically eat two types of soup all summer long-cold cucumber-yogurt soup, and gazpacho. Both soups are made with veggies I grow in the backyard. Most days, I’m having cups of those with a BLT, also using backyard tomatoes. Mmmm my mouth is already watering at the thought…

| I make at least once or twice a week and love the leftovers for breakfast and /or lunch. |
| Maybe once every two weeks in winter. Almost never when it’s hot. |
I aspire to be you. |
| Is your husband Eastern European by any chance? When I was a kid, soups and stews were a constant thing. |
| About once a week and get two dinners, plus adult lunches out of a pot. I save veggie scraps in the freezer to make homemade stock, so usually have fresh stock for the foundation of whatever I make. |
| Very infrequently, like once every month or even every few months. Never in the summer. I actually like soup but no one else in my family does, and I don’t want to make soup just for me. Back in the precovid days, when I was in the office and would get lunch out a few times a week, I would sometimes get soup, but now I’m WFH full time so it’s rare. |
LOL I had the same thought. I’m from Russia and at least back when I was a kid (80s) having soup as a first course for lunch and dinner was a must. |
| I would eat it all day every day, but can't be bothered to make it every day. But we usually make two soups a week during the winter and make large batches for leftover lunches. |

Wow I didn’t realize people were eating so much soup. I never eat soup. I live in SoCal but used to live in Boston and didn’t eat soup then either. I do like veggie chili and split pea soup but I prefer the experience of eating/vs slurping/spooning. I never have smoothies/juices for the same reason. |
Hah-come join me in my soup cult!
