Do all celebrities know each other?

They have easier access to each other for sure. They are vetted and they have networks.

You’ve heard of confirmation bias, right?

The comedy scene in LA seems to be a small, tight knit community. Howard Stern says that Jimmy Kimmel is a bit like the mayor of LA comedy - he's always hosting parties at his home and inviting over comedians + A list actors passing through town. When you have a primetime late night slot on one of the Big 3 Networks, you're pretty much the biggest comedian in NYC or LA.

Apparently, Sagat and Kimmel were close and Sagat was a frequent guest of Kimmel's comedian parties.

Oh geez this is the Entertainment forum. Let me comment on useless threads without needing a background in statistics to defend my comments!

Your conclusion would be dumb on any forum.

I teared up watching Jimmie’s monologue devoted to Sagat. And I’m not really a fan of either.

Being a celebrity isn't ... an industry. WTAF.

I will say that a lot of people do confuse notoriety with celebrity, though. Many "celebrities" are anything but, even if they are well-known to some groups of people or are famous for all the wrong reasons.

I couldn’t believe that Bob Saget even KNEW Pistol Pete Davidson!!

LA is a BIG place, with many nice neighborhoods that are nowhere close to each other. It's not like they see each other out walking the dog.
I think celebrities are much more likely to know each other if they are very close in age, since they have probably met at parties, auditions etc. But I wouldn't expect, for example, Tom Hanks to know Timothee Chalamet.

Tom and Timothee might know each other if they were in the same talk show. Graham Norton does a great job getting guests to interact with each other.

I wouldn’t have thought Russell Brand would know a One Direction guy, but he took Liam Payne to his first AA meeting. So sometimes they just reach out to each other.

I am not getting the information I had hoped for from this thread . Not OP, but I was hoping for some celeb gossip about who is friends with whom!

And those of you who come on here to say, who cares? Why?!? Just move along!

Oh, and I also loved Kimmel’s monologue about Sagat- no idea they were close, and I loved knowing that. I watch those awards shows sometimes just to get a glimpse of who is friends in real life.

Yeah that one surprised me.

And do celebs get inside information before we do? Did the entire cast of Full House know about Bob's death before it was made public? Or did they find out the same way we did?

Speaking of Full House! Mary Kate Oleson (or was it the other one?) being friends with Heath Ledger! That was weird.

If celebs get breaking news before it hits the public, do you think they are texting their other celeb friends "OMG! Such and Such just happened!"
