Seriously, Jeff?

Uh oh. Better make sure DCUM's server is in a well insulated room. Sounds like a lightning strike may be forthcoming.

Your website. You win. Just stop pretending you care.

NP. A while back I took one of the Christian- or Catholic-bashing (I can’t remember which) threads and substituted the words Islam and Muslim everywhere, and made absolutely no other changes. I even said in my OP that I was doing this to see what happened. I was banned so fast it made my head spin, but the threads bashing Christians stayed up. My point is that offense seems to be in the eye of the beholder, and these standards aren’t evenly applied.

PS, I’m not Catholic.

Just like the OP, you found a much more difficult and time-consuming method of approaching your goal. Had you used the "report" button -- as someone did in the case of your obvious troll thread -- you might have achieved greater satisfaction. You have a strange mentality in that you decided to target Muslims when it is extremely doubtful Muslims had anything to do with the threads to which you objected. It is really "Christian" of you to attack the innocent.

I’ve used the report button and nothing has happened. You can see why, when right on this thread you’re accusing one of the reporters of various mental issues.

I know, of course, that Muslims had nothing to do with the problem thread. I “targeted” them, as you call it, because you have a soft spot for them and I wanted to highlight the double standard.

I have not questioned anyone's mental issues in this thread. If that is the accuracy of your reporting, no wonder I didn't do anything. As regards to your troll thread, you do realize the difference between an authentic post and a troll post, right? I don't know which threads bothered you, but they probably represented someone's true feelings. Your thread, however, did not contain honest posts. Of course I would delete it. I would have deleted it regardless of what religion you targeted because it was a troll thread.

You deleted the thread AND banned me for quite some time. Yet the Religion forum is rife with anti-Catholic and anti-Christian trolls and you don’t ban them. For example, there’s a current thread where an atheist agrees that the “emoji troll” is annoying. Why?

Yes, you intentionally started a troll thread. What did you think was going to happen? I have no idea who the "emoji troll" is or what thread you are discussing. Again, if you haven't reported a post, there is no reason to ask me about it.

It was an experiment, not a troll thread. I explained that quite clearly in my OP to that thread. And it demonstrated the double standards here quite effectively, if I do say so.

TBH I saw the anti-Catholic thread and thought it needed reporting, but then decided against reporting because you usually don’t do much about things I report. Perhaps if you spent more time in the religion forum you’d have a better idea about the constant hate there.

You still don't get it. Your thread was not created for purposes of discussion. The posts were not your honest beliefs. You simply subjected an innocent party to unfair negative posts because you were upset about something that didn't involve that party. Then, you act like you were the one who was aggrieved. I can understand why you have difficulty with discussions in that forum this is your idea of discussion.

You unwittingly reveal your hand when you accuse me of “subjecting an innocent party to unfair negative posts,” and ban me, even as you defend leaving the original anti-Christian or anti-Catholic post, with the same “unfair” negativity, up.

The Religion forum almost useless because you won’t do anything about the trolls. If you spent much time there, you’d understand that lots of posters, including some atheists, are frustrated by this state of affairs. My little experiment was born out of this frustration. And you just keep demonstrating why: you have to “consider” whether to delete a post where someone says they’re “done with Catholics,” plus your post at 10:06 seems to say the OP was sock-puppet ting but who really knows what you meant, and in any case I’m willing to bet you haven’t banned that “negative” OP. Is it any wonder posters like OP resort to complaining here or doing little experiments like mine, even if we know we’re walking straight into your snark?

You repeatedly just make things up out of thin air. Again, no wonder you find the religion forum difficult if this is the way you discuss things. I have not defended leaving the original anti-Christian threads. How could I when I don't even know what threads those are. For all I know, I have deleted them. Since you didn't bother to report them, I have no idea what threads you are talking about. I never questioned whether the OP was sock puppeting. That is another figment of your imagination. The OP provided multiple examples of anti-Catholicism. When I replied, I thought the last example was from a different post because I didn't remember reading it. I then realized that the sentence was from the same post as the earlier examples. I took time to decide whether it was worth removing the entire thread because of that single sentence. I decided it was. Sorry if that bothers you.

I look forward to your interpretation of this post which will likely involve several things that I did not actually write. I guess you skipped that whole thing about bearing false witness, huh?

You post something pretty ambiguous and then tear into me for not intuiting your meaning.

To quote OP, “Really, Jeff?” You’re not as smart as you think you are, and your insults aren’t very clever.

Whatever. I hope you make a lot of money from this site. It won’t be on my back.

Are we going to ban all "annoying" posters now? Fun. I'll start making my list.

Who is the "emoji troll"?

I'm the atheist who agreed the emoji troll is annoying. You keep deliberately omitting the rest of my point, which is that the influx of religious trolls are equally annoying.

Pp here. I’d say Jeff should ban them all. But clearly they drive a lot of traffic and revenue so that’s not going to happen.
