Fabric one that opens for storage.

Google 42 inch round ottoman and tons of options.

I’ve had my eye on this one for a while. I guess I’m hoping to find something I like as much that isn’t as expensive.

The top is sturdy and doesn't move easily so you don't have to worry about it sliding off. Got it on wayfair 3 years ago.

Your feet don't belong on your coffee table. This is exactly why so many people put their feet on MY coffee table, which is vile.

Ok, responding to myself. Apparently what you want is an upholstered coffee table. I didn't realize that they still made these, they seem rather dated, but they do have them.

Here are some options:

We had a consultation with a designer and she recommended quartz as stone is child friendly. I’ve had trouble finding one. The said to stay away from wood as we already have a lot of wood in that room.

NP here. We are in a similar position, with a lot of wood in the room. Do you want child-friendly like a toddler won't need stiches if they trip and hit it, or child-friendly like easy to clean/won't get rings from drinking glasses?

Also, what is your style? There are a lot of options, but it depends on the look of your room.

Moreso that they can eat their breakfast there, wont' get rings, easy to clean. Our look is fairly transitional with a dark rug, light couches, and wood/brown leather accent chairs.

Why on earth would they eat breakfast on the coffee table?

Because they can’t see the television from the kitchen table, if i had to guess….

Clearly you've never had a 3 year old. Or if you have, you have an unhappy one. Ever had christmas morning with a food spread on the coffee table? No? Sorry for you.

You're not normal, PP. My kids have always eaten breakfast in the kitchen, never an issue. They don't need distraction to eat. Sorry for you that your children are so poorly behaved that you have to distract them with the TV.

OP here, TV isn’t on in the mornings or during meal time. But blocks, Trains and no pressure eating are. Why do people feel the need to be so rude on this thing? Isn’t there so much more to weepy about these days than if a strangers kids are watching TV?

I would strongly consider a coffee table with storage unless you have ample storage for kid stuff in the same room.

This one has a marbled white quartz option for the top - I have a kitchen table made out of this--it's been drawn on, etc and everything has come off

OP here- this is super helpful. Thank you!

Do NOT get the first one from Anthropologie. I ordered it and it weighs all of five pounds. My toddler could flip it with one matchbox car.
