Just curious that you want large round and child friendly, but not wood. What do you expect it to be made from? Not stone, not glass, not wood, not metal. Do you want a plastic coffee table?
Ok, responding to myself. Apparently what you want is an upholstered coffee table. I didn't realize that they still made these, they seem rather dated, but they do have them. Here are some options: https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/best-quality-furniture-coffee-table-4-legs-coffee-table-with-storage-bqft1189.html?piid=18666033 https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/kelly-clarkson-home-christopher-485-wide-tufted-oval-cocktail-ottoman-w005145352.html?piid=480020887 https://www.clubfurniture.com/products/ives-round-tufted-leather-ottoman-bench-medium-and-large-sizes
We had a consultation with a designer and she recommended quartz as stone is child friendly. I’ve had trouble finding one. The said to stay away from wood as we already have a lot of wood in that room.
NP here. We are in a similar position, with a lot of wood in the room. Do you want child-friendly like a toddler won't need stiches if they trip and hit it, or child-friendly like easy to clean/won't get rings from drinking glasses? Also, what is your style? There are a lot of options, but it depends on the look of your room.
Moreso that they can eat their breakfast there, wont' get rings, easy to clean. Our look is fairly transitional with a dark rug, light couches, and wood/brown leather accent chairs.
Why on earth would they eat breakfast on the coffee table?
Clearly you've never had a 3 year old. Or if you have, you have an unhappy one. Ever had christmas morning with a food spread on the coffee table? No? Sorry for you.
