| Which of these guys will keep the criminals off our streets? |
Mayor Bowser disagrees with you! I’m going to laugh about this post for a long time. According to the Mayor herself, you’ve just discredited Schwalb‘s campaign. Incredible. |
| Isn't McDuffie another far left liberal Racine type? I'm trying to remember some of his egregious acts as Councilmember.. think there were quite a few |
McDuffie is the Ward 5 councilmember who wants to be mayor and sees this seat as the way to get there. The problem is, he isn't much of a practicing attorney, so may not even be qualified by statute. |
The Mayor's track record on crime is not exactly stellar. |
Well, it's the Council that's ramming through all these disastrous crime measures. If Bowser is at fault, it's for cultivating an adversarial relationship with the Council to the point where she has basically zero allies left on it. She can't veto anything because it will just get overturned. |
I thought as a Councilmember he was kind of the original Charles Allen. I remember raising my eyebrows over a lot of his crime positions and statements. |
Well put. Before Charles Allen, there was McDuffie. |
Ohhhh yes! Now I remember. He wanted to copy the CA. Program to pay criminals a monthly stipend to NOT commit crimes. He will be an amazing AG, LOL. It's all coming back... |
He's no where near as liberal as Allen. |
That was actually a great program and reduced crime. The program was cheaper than sending people to jail and it worked. It was based on a really interesting program in Richmond, CA. Clearly locking up criminals does not serve as a deterrent. I want people who are going to be thoughtful and try to find solutions. We don't need the lock them up forever crew. It doesn't work. |
Interesting solution. Thinking outside the box |
| Not really the AG's job to set that up. |
