Please all parents, please note what just happened here:

- Rightwing Republicans, backed by Republican media, took up the cause of Asians
- Republicans used that to sue TJ, sow strife and divide the students and parents
- Republicans’ real agenda was to advance GOP candidates not help TJ
- Now that the election is over, the activists drop it, and posters say “Too much chaos! Abolish TJ!”

This is EXACTLY the standard GOP billionaire playbook: take things they don’t like, make them work poorly, then use this as evidence to get rid of them.

Don’t let GOP billionaires take valuable institutions from you. Fight the GOP and rightwing activists. They did not care about Asians and they do not care about you.

So HJ didn't really care about the school or the students. The presidency was just a stepping stone for him. And for all the east and south Asians who think that he and his mates are going to help your students - you and your kids appear to just be pawns of their political party. They will use you and then drop you - as will the rich businessmen who are elected by/for the party.

Are you saying they will keep VMPI instead of dropping it?
Are you saying the new attorney general will be investigating these schools and suing them if they don't have high enough numbers from every minority?

If they deliver on their promises then they haven't been used by a political party, they have instead used the political party to get what they want.
I doubt people are upset that Harry Jackson resigned or was politicizing things, because they probably didn't vote for him in the first place because they thought he would do a good job performing PTA duties; they voted for him hoping he could influence the admissions process.

HJ gets why there is such small number of students of color minus Asian (borrowed from UMD) at TJ. It was not because what another group of brown people did. The key reason is there aren't enough minority students at the honor geometry class in 8th grade. HJ was elected by parents not organizing bake sales.

If he can make bigger impact by resigning, good for him. The new president needs to keep her promise and only focus on bake sales.

I have no idea what this is referring to, would be lovely if someone can translate the meaning of this post.

Some accuse Asians of harming blacks and latinos for wanting the old admissions system instead of the new one that was designed to reduce the number of Asians and increase the number of other minorities.
Geometry in 8th grade was/is a requirement to get into TJ(For Academies of Loudoun this was reduced to algebra to get more balck and brown kids.).
If there are not enough black and brown kids taking geometry or algebra 2 in 8th grade, you will not get many admissions.

Wow, what a conspiracy theory! Did you ever consider that most parents simply didn't want the woke TJAAG programming that was being pushed in the PTSA, so they went with the non-TJAAG candidate?

The bolded is completely false. Geometry in 8th grade has never been a requirement to get into TJ. Now, it is true that in most recent years, 92-93% of admitted students were in Geometry in 8th grade, but it is explicitly stated every year that the requirement is Algebra.
