I'm another person who hated the CTCL boosterism, but also hates UVA boosters too.

Yea I get that. But when a CTCL booster says they prefer their school over UVA I have to call out the bs. Because we all know they don't.

I came to this forum when my kid (now college junior) was h.s. junior. Prior to this thread I was in the DC schools threads often (not posting so much but gathering info). This board has been informative for me and I expect as my life stages I will find myself on other boards more frequently. Having watched this board a few years I know there is no 1 booster for this or hater for that. Just different folks with similar (anecdotal) experiences. You can put me down as being one of an infinite number of “users” of this board and the infinity I am part of can be counted to be very small (since infinity can have different sizes after all).

+1 There is a certain segment of dcum that has to bring in hypsm in every discussion thread to try to show that the school is "not prestigious" or "overrated."
