Why I will always vote D — as a POC

As I said, I have plenty of issues with liberal D’s, and was waffling while voting earlier. But at the end of the day, voting R emboldens the racists and I’ll do anything to avoid that. You may have different priorities which is fine.

I'm independent and sick of both extremes, but from the cheap seats, it seems to me the racists are the ones arguing that non-immigrant Blacks can't be expected to do well on objective measures like SATs and LSATs because, well, you know...

I know liberals have a lot of issues as well, but at the end of the day, most don’t want to jail me or see me gone or treat me as a second-class citizen. Racist white folks need to be indoctrinated with the ideas of freedom, equality, and justice for all. Having R’s in power only emboldens them. I’m never going to give them that happiness. I’m rich and in the highest tax bracket and don’t like paying so much in taxes but I’ll deal with it as long as D’s are in power and the racists aren’t happy.

Nobody should ever be "indoctrinated." People need to learn to reason, not be brainwashed parrots.

Sounds like OP has been indoctrinated. Dems have had the AA vote for 60 years and what have they done for them? The AA community is arguably no better off in that period of time, and in many aspects, worse off.

We really do need CRT in schools if this is what you think.

Yep, they got you right where they want you.

And you think that racism is a one political class characteristic? Dems just do a better job of wallpapering over it.

What is the point of your post?

Judging from this post, you’re a commercial, not an actual, thinking person.

Lol that raw footage of McAuliffe defining blackface was deleted. Essentially deleting it is a defense of blackface.

The paternalistic, condescending attitude of mainstream democrats who expect blacks to vote for them every election cycle despite never delivering on their promises depends on mindless sheep like the OP to blindly toe the line instead of exercising basic and independent critical thinking skills. Pathetic.

Maybe indoctrinated isn’t the right word. What I meant was “told over and over again that POCs are *not* inferior to them, until it finally penetrates their thick skulls”

You're still kind of talking about mind control. You want people to be berated into believing what you want them to believe.

It happens that what you want them to believe is true, and so people should be able to understand this by evaluating the evidence. But demanding that people believe something because you say so, or because something bad is going to happen to them if they stray from the party line, is a scary thing progressives have been doing lately.

The bolded above is simply not true. Why do people make these statements without actually knowing the facts?

The term POC doesn’t only apply to black people anymore. As in many other areas, black people have been happy to share.

Because they are racist whites.

Agree. They shouldn’t be indoctrinated.

They should be put into wood chippers and turned into fertilizer. Indoctrination is a waste of time and state resources.

Anonymous wrote:Maybe you should vote Republican in the primaries? And for Democratic or other party candidates in the general elections? Just a thought

Not OP. I watched what voting Republican in primaries and the local level did to the elections in 2016, 2017, 2018. 2019. It emboldened everyone from racist dog catchers to racist District Attorneys to racist state representatives (who tried to declare my vote INVALID in 2020 because of the county I lived in) to racist presidents.

And in doing so, even if the 'nice' Republican was my representative at whatever level - none of them were strong or brave enough to stand up to their own insane leadership. The Jeff Flakes, Liz Cheneys, the Adam Kinzingers, the Ben Sasses are too far and few in-between in the GOP.

There are residents of many cities across the United States with one party rule. That party is the Democratic party. You are not alone OP. Many citizens of the U.S. will never be able to cast a vote that counts for any party other than Democratic. Indoctrination really is not necessary.

Yes, let’s continue this trend of treating our votes as though they are statements about which team we’re on, rather than policy proposals we want to see implemented.

Definitely you should keep voting for the Good Team forever, regardless of what the Good Team is proposing to do this week or next year. Who cares about actual policies? Politics is about supporting your team, and you’re a Good Person, you’d never vote for the Evil Team that is liked by Evil People. As you say, that would just make the Evil People too happy.

In other news, nap time is at one thirty and we’ll be having milk and cookies every hour on the hour.
