It's making fun of helicopter parenting. It's silly and goofy and ridiculous. If you can enjoy that, then it's for you. |
| I watched it all this week. I think it was meant to be making fun of itself. I wont spoil but I did think some of the plot w Orion’s mom was out of left field but maybe I missed something. |
| I like it. Elisabeth Shue is excellent. |
But she does a great job of being unlikable, so that's a testament to her acting ability. I have known people exactly like Yaz - totally self-absorbed, drama queens, thinking everything is a slight against them. She nailed it. |
| The guy who plays Julie Delpy's husband is incredibly unattractive and just downright unappealing. What a jerk. |
You do realize one of the actors- Julie Delpy - is also the writer? |
You do realize TWO of the actors are also the writers? Julie Delpy and Alexia Landeau? DP |
He’s French. |
| Meh. I watched 2 episodes and it's pretty bad. Badly written and feels forced. A poor caricature of a French show. It's not even funny in French. I expected much better. |
I do-as actresses they are solid, as writers not so much. |
| I guess I’m alone in really liking it?! I think it’s spot on for women in their late 40s/early 50s! |
I like it! I just watched Julie Delpy yelling at that dad at the soccer practice, saying something like she isn’t scared of him and isn’t scared of men. I feel like that all the damn time. |
It was a ridiculous "jumping the shark" plot arc. And dumb. |
| My favorite character is Gretchen, the au pair. |
Did she bash up her elbow in this photo? |
