My mother is so embarrassing to me

Anonymous
I feel like I'm 16 again! My mom embarrasses me so much! She friended many of my friends on FB, She's very political but not highly educated. It's like being lectured about politics by a 7th graded. She's always writing on my friend's posts. AND many of my friends are now friends with my ex's new GF! Which means she gets to watch the show.

Ugh.

If its any consolation my mom likes and then subsequently comments on EVERY SINGLE ITEM ON MY PAGE.

One of the reasons why I told my mother I would not friend her on Facebook.

Although now I hear you can group friends and allow different access to different groups - maybe that's what we all need!

Sorry to be a Debbie Downer but let's keep it in perspective. My mom passed away 10 years ago and I would do anything to have her embarrassing me on Facebook.

My mom is on FB but I asked her to refrain from the comments on my friends posts.

OP, this is FUNNY! Just ask her to stop.
But if she won't, get a sense of humor.

My dad is my FB friend and he is grouped under "acquaintances" because it limits his access to my page

Can people stop using the lovely expression "Debbie Downer"? Not so nice for those of us who go by the name.

If I ever do this in the future, I hope my DD finds it humorous too and tolerate it.

Your name is "Deborah, Debra" and you are called Debbie and "Debbie Downer offends you? Please! I'll begin the list of phrases (in quotes) with names we cannot use:

Dudley "Do right"

Willy "nilly"

"Silly" Billy

Casper "Milquetoast"

"Little" Annie "Fanny"

"Little" Mary "Sunshine"

Please feel free to add.

Why can't I say that I wish she was around? Am I not permitted to speak about her?

My point was just be thankful for your mothers. They are precious and you are lucky to have them....even if they embarrass you.

To the quoted poster....you are a wicked witch and don't forget that karma is a bitch....

And I hate posts like yours! Those of us who've lost our moms knew what the poster was trying to say. One day you will, too.
