You all are nuts. The guy with Jlo is not Ben Affleck. He’s an alien zombie. Look closer at him. That’s not Ben Affleck. It’s another creature and we should all be worried about Jlo. Jennifer Garner is lucky she escaped. So far, the kids seem okay.

ITA with this. It's just the same old story. He was never really into her, she got pregnant because she was desperate to get him, he never planned to be the family man, stayed because he wanted a son but kept cheating etc. etc. Don't forget that Garner was married when she hooked up with him in Daredevil in 2002. She was cheating on Scott Foley with him for over a year, as her and Scott didn't separate until 2003 and divorced in 2004. Ben probably thought he was safe by sleeping with a married woman - no commitment required. Then she divorced for him and trapped him with the pregnancy. He's still bitter about it. Scott Foley is the only lucky one here.

Scott foley has said there was no cheating. Maybe he’s only saying it because he’s a nice guy, or to save face if it’s embarrassing for him, but don’t know why he wouldn’t skewer her nice girl reputation if she had in fact cheated.

Also, I believe she dated Michael vartan between scott foley and ben affleck. So Michael vartan would be the one she cheated on while filming daredevil, if there was cheating involved. Wasn’t daredevil a 2004 movie?

She didn't separate from Scott until 2003. With Scott: "wed in 2000 and announced their separation in 2003. Their divorce was finalized the following year." I forgot about Vartan, she dated him sometimes between 1998 and 2002. She was probably dating both Affleck and Vartan while being married with Foley. What a mess. Foley is a gentleman.

Ben Affleck was as trapped in the marriage as Jennifer Garner was. Except, Jennifer did not have the luxury to become an alchoholic because this ahole was sozzled, promiscuous and an irresponsible addict. See what happened here? Men have the luxury to check out and become alchoholics. Women still have to be the responsible adult mother.

Ben forgot that Jen hauled him to rehab after a massive intervention while he was being an addict manwhore. He is actually well suited to JLo because she will either whip him into shape or dump him.

That isn't a criticism of Jennifer Garner, its just probably an accurate perspective on his feelings. She could be the greatest wife ever (she kind of seems like she was!) and still be not totally right together. Love doesn't always work like that. Someone isn't 'good' or 'bad' because another person falls in or out of love with them.

I think Ben Affleck has made a lot of poor choices, but I think talking about his sobriety and the difficult path to get there isn't one of them. Maybe it will help someone else on a similar journey.

but he didn't get sober! he was continued to drink after the divorce. I kind of agree with you that he didn't mean to blame garner but his whole theory does not make sense at all. he didn't start to drink during marriage and didn't stop after it.

Jennifer Garner did an intervention after he went on a bender during his relationship with the TV producer lady. She drove him to rehab and took charge. She does not want her kid's dad to die.
