"a man who behaves dishonorably, especially toward a woman. 'her adulterous cad of a husband'" Seems applicable |
JLo won’t whip anyone into shape. She is attracted to macho alpha males. Remember: she didn’t dump him the first time around. She tolerated his bad behavior. She and Ben are cut from the same cloth: they prioritize their own happiness. It works for them since they prioritize their couple-hood: constantly on kid-free vacations, out enjoying themselves, etc. Neither one prioritizes their kids. Does he even work anymore? |
+1. This screams relapse. It is so damn transparent that he knows that Jen G. sees the real him....the warts and all, as anyone who we coparent and marry do. He HATES that. So he resents her because of his own failings. And this is his way of lashing out. Ironically, it makes him look terrible. |
It is hard to look at this picture. He looks awful, so bloated, sweaty, and 15 years older than he was. Man, they should show this to kids in middle school health class. |

The Stern/Affleck interview reminds me of the interview Brad Pitt gave where he shaded his marriage to Jennifer Aniston and blamed it for his pot-smoking.
"I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic. It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself." "I think that my marriage [to actress Jennifer Aniston] had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t.” |
It's the way Elvis looked his last few years. |
Definitely not sober. |

Jesus, has there ever been a worse, more narcissistic response?
The real problem here? The real problem apparently is that when people criticize Ben's attempts to blame his marriage for his alcoholism, his "feeling are hurt." If a high school thespian was using this as material for "Hollywood douchebag," he'd be told to dial it back as too over-the-top and unbelievable. |
